Discussing the future of water in El Paso del Norte Region
On Tuesday, December 1st, the Hunt Institute and the Center for Environmental Resource Management (CERM) hosted a second stakeholder meeting to develop and disseminate scientific data to help local stakeholders manage water use in accordance with climate change and competing demands in the region.
Field Visit to the Union Pacific Facilities
On October 30, the Hunt Institute’s interdisciplinary research team visited the UP Santa Teresa Rail facilities in Santa Teresa and El Paso to learn more about the functions, challenges, and opportunities of the Santa Teresa Intermodal Rail Facility. This facility replaces 3 existing fueling facilities in the El Paso, TX area.

Economic Development Organizations
In July, 2015 the Hunt Institute hosted a meeting between organizations responsible for fostering economic development in Albuquerque, El Paso, Ciudad Juarez and Chihuahua City, allowing them to learn from each other and to find common ground for the development of future joint projects.
