Discussing the future of water in El Paso del Norte Region
Tuesday, December 1st, the Hunt Institute and the Center for Environmental Resource Management (CERM) hosted a second stakeholder meeting aiming to develop and disseminate scientific data to help local stakeholders manage water use in accordance with climate change and competing demands in the region.
Field Visit to the Union Pacific Facilities
On October 30, out interdisciplinary research team visited the UP Santa Teresa Rail facilities in Santa Teresa and El Paso. The ideas was to learn more about the intermodal functioning, as well as the challenges and opportunities of the relatively new Santa Teresa Intermodal Rail Facility. The new facility replaces 3 existing fueling facilities in the El Paso, TX area.

Economic Development Organizations
In July, 2015 the Hunt Institute hosted the meeting between the organizations in charge of fostering economic development in Albuquerque, El Paso, Ciudad Juarez and Chihuahua City. The discussion was intended to learn from each other and to find common grounds for the development of future joint projects.
